The Log visit endpoint has the option to receive the IP address of the visitor making requests to your website. This is optional, but highly recommended to ensure the most reliable analytics data. Not including the IP address will result in some features being unavailable, such as:
  • Geographic detection and identification
  • Verification and validation of bot traffic
  • Visitor enrichment and identification
Customers who have strict privacy considerations may choose to not include the IP address in their requests. A Data Processing Addendum is available for customers who consider IP addresses to be personally identifiable information.
